My Canon 70D gives Err01 when with a Tamron 90mm lens but works perfectly with other lenses. The same lens works fine on other bodies (1200D)
I’m not sure if a specific combination is giving an error.
I have tried to clean the contacts via lens cleaner liquid as well.
What can I do to get my lens working again?

A while ago my Tamron AF 70-300 4-5.6 Di SP VC USD showed the same error, when it was connected to my Canon 700D. When I removed it from the camera and attached it again, the error was gone for a while (sometimes minutes, sometimes days) and returned again. I sent it back to Tamron to have it checked and obviously there was something wrong with the lens’ aperture.
According to Tamron’s service Err01 is a very unspecific error and it’s almost impossible to say, what is wrong with the lens without seeing it. Therefore I would suggest to talk to your Tamron distributor or send it back to Tamron so that they can check it.

Had to give my lens for service, they told that autofocus motor ring has to be replaced.. costed approx 70$.. they also replaced the lens barrel (new serial no now).. Lens now works smooth as new

If your Tamron 90mm Macro doesn’t have VC, the newest version it could possibly be is the SP 90mm F/2.8 Di 1:1 Macro (model 272) introduced in 2004. There were also the model 172 and model 72 versions of the Tamron SP 90mm F/2.8 Di 1:1 Macro that preceded the model 272.
Part of the risk of buying third party lenses is that they are reverse engineered to be compatible with the camera models available at the time they are designed. Subsequently introduced camera models may or may not introduce additional protocols that were included but not used in the previous camera models. A third party lens introduced in 2004 is unlikely to be 100% compatible with a camera introduced in 2013.
Sometimes third party lens makers will update the firmware to make a lens compatible with newer camera models. But in the case of your lens that is a design well over a decade old. I doubt Tamron has devoted the resources to writing code that would make the model 272/172/72 versions compatible with current camera bodies. You might hope that there was an update made for your lens created to make it compatible with Canon bodies introduced in the mid-2000s. Perhaps it will also allow your lens to work with even later models.
I’d contact your regional Tamron service representative and see what, if any, updates are available for your lens. You’ll need to examine your lens for exact name and model markings, serial number, etc. and have that information available when talking to a Tamron representative.

So if your Tamaron 90mm macro lens is a manual lens, then there is this manual «aperture ring» on the end of the lens , near the camera body attachment. Twist it all the way to the smallest aperture marked. Probably 22 or 32 I guess. and lock it into position. things will be fine.

Всем привет! У кого-нибудь есть опыт ремонта Тамрона 10-24 ? Суть в том ,что как только объектив ставишь на тушку, камера тут же выдает ошибку 01. Я думал сначала на шлейф диафрагмы — но ведь обычно если шлейф диафрагмы ломается, то ошибка появляется только когда делаешь кадр? А тут как только надел линзу — сразу ошибка, даже не успевая нажать что-либо. Алиэкспресс завален шлейфами диафрагмы для этой модели — имеет ли смысл заказывать шлейф? Родной шлейф я распрямлял, но трещин не увидел.

Если объектив не получает сигнала «диафрагма открыта», то пожужжит мотором и даст ошибку.
Обычно, конечно, шлейф. Но бывало всякое, и моторы сгорали, и электроника

Это на старых тушках так было. С новыми сразу ошибка лезет.

Благодарю отписавшихся! Ситуация такова — пропаял полностью процессор на плате объектива, пропаял шлейф на байонет с двух концов, заменил микруху LB1836 ( вроде как драйвер шаговика диафрагмы) — не помогло. Ставлю объектив на старый EOS 5D автофокус крутит, делает снимки — но как ни крути диафрагму она не закрывается. Более того какую диафрагму не ставь , как зум не выдвигай — ошибки 01 нет!!

Как только ставлю этот объектив на EOS 6D — тут же ошибка 01 и не дает снимать. Я извлек шлейф диафрагмы из скобы, где он согнут пополам, попробовал разобранный объектив подключить к EOS 5D и выставив диафрагму F25 нажимая кнопку репетира диафрагмы дергал шлейф во все стороны — но диафрагма стоит на месте. Это меня и беспокоит — если бы на шлейфе была трещина,

то контакт бы восстановился и диафрагма закрылась. И уж тем более странно что старый 5Д вообще не выдает ошибок и фокусируется, а новый 6Д тут же вываливается в ошибку 01. Вообщем я больше грешу на дохлую гл. плату объектива, а уж потом на шлейф…

оказался виноват шлейф. Клиент привез такой же объектив. Разобрал оба, перепаял шлейф и заработал первый. Пока отдал все так. Шлейф заказали.

Alex_Suvorov, шлейфы можно проверить только заменой. Неоднократно попадались дисплейные шлейфы внешне целые даже под микроскопом,с прозванивающимися дорожками,но не желающие работать. Видимо от многочисленных изгибов нарушается целостность меди и при определенном изгибе появляется излишнее сопротивление.

Tamron problem — Error 01

I’m having a problem using a Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 Di Macro lens on my 5D MII — consistently getting Error 01, which gives an incorrect exposure and locks the camera up until it is cleared.
Problem is intermittent, but happens now more often than not. I’m using it on manual mode and manual focus.
Has anyone else seen or heard of this happening?

Error 01 means bad connection between lens and camera. Clean the contacts.

had it on my 7D and brand new Tamron lens. comes and goes. workaround: remove battery from body for a couple of minutes and/or when attaching the lens, turn it very slow into locking position. never figured out what it is, static effecting the electronics in the lens, who knows, the slow attaching method works for me.

Thanks for the info, Mike.
The lens does not get removed from the camera, the contacts are always clean.
I’ve tried re-inserting the battery, no luck, but also did not wait several minutes. I’m photographing BIF, so the delay hurts.
I’ll try attaching the lens very slow.
Optical quality of lens is excellent, otherwise.

Thanks gewi, but this is no help.
The contacts are clean, it’s not a Canon lens (but should work fine), and the lens has been checked twice by Tamron.
The lens will perform flawlessly for hundreds of images at a time before the error shows up, and then the error will stick around for dozens of shots.

Вчера снимал ДР как вдруг камера выдала ошибку ERR01 «Ошибка связи между камерой и объективом. Проверьте электрические разъемы объектива и камеры.» Вроде снял\одел начал работать, и через время опять. попросил что-бы привезли запасной объектив — пока везли вроде снимал как-то…под вечер опять начал выдавать, причем выдает когда начинаешь крутить зум. Что еще смутило, когда 1 раз одел свой кенон 28-135 он вроде тоже выдал ошибку я начал уже думать а не в камере ли дело, но то ли меня «проглючило» то ли просто совпадение но сегодня дома после проверки только тамрон дает ошибку причем стабильно уже: включаю на 17 делает кадр, зуммируешь хоть чуть чуть, делать кадр — выдает ошибку! причем проверил на старом 400д, то же самое только там ошибка звучит «ERROR99 Съемка невозможна. Отключите и включите питание или переустановите аккумулятор». Объектив не падал, не купался.еще на гарантии. что это? шлейф какой-то? гарантийный ли случай?
